This Smartboard lesson focuses on aluminium can production and recycling. In this activity students will look at the life-cycle of aluminium production and recycling, and how a closed loop manufacturing process relates to aluminium.
Following this lesson is an ideal way for your school to take part in Schools Clean Up Day. You’ll be joining thousands of amazing teachers in making a difference and creating positive environmental change.
- Students are asked to match stages of can production to correct images.
- Students are asked to choose correct definitions for ‘life cycle’.
- Students are asked to create a closed loop process for aluminium can manufacturing.

The Schools Recycle Right Challenge is an initiative of Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week. Schools can participate in the Challenge from the 5th October to the 13th November.
