All this talk about burning and saving energy makes us want to burn a bit of our own energy. Get your students outside, get them busy moving and get them using some of their own renewable energy!

This is a game best suited to a large defined area such as a basketball court, either inside or outside.

Preparation:

To play this game you will need to make large card. Each card will have one of the vocabulary words from the list below with the corresponding action word on the back. The cards will be held up and students need to complete the associated action, this will help students to become familiar with the vocabulary words.

The rules of the game are:

Choose a leader who will hold all the cards. When the leader calls out a word and shows the card, the students must complete the correct action. After a second, the card is flipped so those students who can’t recall the action can do it.
