Lesson summary

Children can think about, describe and play with the wind and know that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander kids use the wind in some of their games.

This activity forms part of the Caring For Country: Introductory Lessons and Themed Activities. It is recommended that you complete the Introductory Tuning in Lessons in this unit before sharing the Themed Activities with children.

  • an outdoor grassy space where children can run without bumping into things (bonus points if there is a slope)
  • feathers, light leaves or bubbles (or Spinifex seed heads if you have them).
