Calmly ask your child open questions about their online activities and the people they are chatting to. This is a great chance to create or revisit family boundaries for online activities so that if anything concerning comes up there are procedures to help and support everyone.

Description

While the internet is an exciting place to learn, chat and play online, it is unusual for children to knowingly spend time online with adults and could be cause for concern. Many online games involve a wide range of ages and it may be difficult for your child to know who they are chatting with, especially if they use text over voice. It is always a good idea to check in with your child’s online activities and keep the communication open.
