Do you ever think about where the food on your table comes from? How is it produced, where does it come from, how does it get to you and how is it packaged?
This is a good activity for kids to complete independently.
Ideal for: Middle to Upper Primary Ages 10 – 12
Themes:
- investigate
- think and connect
Time required: 20 minutes
Curriculum connections: Design and Technology, Science, Personal and Social Capability, Sustainability
This activity is designed to stimulate children to think about the food on their table, where it comes from and how it gets from the farm to their table. Instead of using the picture in the first step, you might like to create your own spread at home.

They can be used as stand-alone activities or built into existing curriculum-aligned learning programs. Our [email protected] series includes two types of resources. The first are fun and challenging real-world activities for all ages, the second are self-directed lessons for upper primary and secondary students.
