Lesson summary

Students will gain a greater understanding of COVID-19 including its symptoms, how it is contracted, at risk groups, incubation period and how it is different to influenza by reading through an article. Next, they will conduct quick research on responses to COVID-19 in their state and reflect on their own responses during this time. Using this information, students will complete a planning template and create an informative brochure titled, ‘Understanding and Coping with COVID-19’ that will be directed at an audience of their peers.

This lesson is designed to be completed independently by students.
