Welcome to the 2023 schools event calendar!

Awareness events are an awesome way to get kids, parents and educators involved in meaningful learning! We have aligned each awareness event or day with a package of free curriculum-aligned resources, aimed to get the whole school involved. From Harmony Day to STEM day, you can use these resource to teach lessons that help kids build empathy and make change in their local community.

International Women’s Day

March 8

International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Check out these great resources below to get involved.

2040 – Girls For The Planet
– Maths – Year 9

In this lesson, students will investigate the environmental benefits that arise from empowering women and girls. They will access statistics about the education of women and represent this data using back-to-back stem and leaf plots and histograms.

The Leadership Education Resources – Year 10

The Leadership delivers an altogether unexpected and original reflection on what it takes to be a good leader while unearthing the profoundly troubling systemic obstacles to women’s advancement in science and beyond.

AFLW – NAPLAN Preparation
– Years 7 to 10

This unit has been developed in conjunction with the AFLW in celebration of the advancement of women in sport and the promotion of equal opportunity for all people in all facets of life.
