2022 School Events and Awareness Days

Welcome to the 2022 schools event calendar!

Awareness events are an awesome way to get kids, parents and educators involved in meaningful learning! We have aligned each awareness event or day with a package of free curriculum-aligned resources, aimed to get the whole school involved. From Harmony Day to STEM day, you can use these resource to teach lessons that help kids build empathy and make change in their local community.

NAIDOC Week

Celebrating the history, culture & achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC week is celebrated by Indigenous communities & Australians from all walks of life. It's a great time to participate in a range of activities & support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

World Youth Skills Day

The aim of World Youth Skills Day is to encourage youth to celebrate the value of acquiring skills like building, making, and creating as a way to achieve personal success and fulfillment. Check out these great lessons on offer to help celebrate the day.

DonateLife Week

This DonateLife Week, we encourage more Australians to register to be an organ and tissue donor, and to have a chat about it with their family and friends. While the majority of Australians believe it’s important to be an organ and tissue donor, only one in three are registered!

International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem

The day is celebrated every year on 26 July as a unique opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of mangroves as a “unique, special and vulnerable ecosystem” and to promote their sustainable management, conservation and use.
