This lesson plan, developed by Cool Australia and Exchange for Change, aims to support schools' participation in the ACT Container Deposit Scheme (ACT CDS) and enable teachers to discuss the environmental benefits of the scheme as part of their sustainability lessons. The plan includes various activities such as exploring materials used in packaging and container packaging, cleaning up waste, conducting audits of classroom and lunchbox waste, and fundraising using the ACT CDS.
