Beyond the Bushfires is a series of lessons designed to teach Australian students about bushfires, their impacts, and conservation efforts in the aftermath of bushfires. Developed in partnership with The Conversation, the lessons focus on evidence-based research and real-world practice. Students will explore the Flora, Fauna, Fire interactive, which details conservation efforts after bushfires, and The 119, a priority list of species recommended by the Bushfire Recovery Expert Panel for immediate intervention. The lessons also highlight traditional fire management practices in Australia's Northern Territory and their impact on ecosystems and populations. The series aims to help students understand the importance of trusted, evidence-based information and make informed decisions about their actions.
