Developed in partnership with the documentary film Life After The Oasis, this Health and PE unit is designed for Year 9 and 10 students to understand social issues related to homelessness, including mental health, addiction, and trauma. The lessons encourage personal and community health and well-being skills by using character stories from the film to engage students with the issue of homelessness. The documentary revisits the characters and stories from the original 2008 documentary The Oasis and explores the issues, interventions, and mindsets associated with youth homelessness in Australia.
