This unit involves comparing the waste generated by ancient Aboriginal and Roman societies with that of modern times. Students will investigate the resources used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, compare their resource use with our consumption today, and extrapolate and compare the impact on the environment. The lesson is developed as part of the Schools Recycle Right Challenge for Planet Ark's National Recycling Week.
