This unit is designed for a flipped classroom, where students learn about marine conservation through a series of inquiry-based activities. Students will explore the causes and effects of pollution on the ocean, conduct experiments to determine the decomposition rates of different types of waste, and work collaboratively to come up with ideas for marine conservation. This unit is intended to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students, as well as increase their awareness and appreciation of the ocean and its ecosystems.

Following this lesson plan is an ideal way for your school to introduce Zoos Victoria’s Seal the Loop program.
