These lessons aim to provide students with the opportunity to learn about Adam Goodes' journey, character, and identity and reflect on the themes and messages of the documentary film The Final Quarter. The lessons also aim to help students build inclusive and safe communities, learn about archival documentary filmmaking conventions, experiment with planning their own archival documentary, and work on group projects applying the form of archival documentary to an issue of their choice. Teachers are advised to communicate with parents and guardians of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students before playing the film and/or engaging with the teaching and learning resources.
