These are a series of lesson plans that focus on the experiences of retired AFL star Adam Goodes and the documentary film "The Final Quarter." The lessons aim to promote discussion and critical thinking about themes such as inclusion, national identity, and freedom of expression. The lessons recommend that students view the film in its entirety before participating in subsequent activities. It is also important for teachers to communicate with parents and guardians of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students before playing the film and/or engaging with the teaching and learning resources, given the content.
