Tips for Parents and Carers
This activity is great and can lead to many other design activities (e.g. how to design your own room and house). You might like to use your kid/s new house map to design a Scavenger Hunt.
During COVID-19, many kid/s (and adults) are spending much more time cooped up in the house than usual. This activity can help kid/s identify more closely with their house and look at it in a new light. Consider helping your kid/s identify a special space for themselves in the house where they can set it up for their own relaxation and enjoyment.

Additional Info

Learning@Home resources are designed for parents and teachers to use with children in the home environment. They can be used as stand-alone activities or built into existing curriculum-aligned learning programs. Our Learning@Home series includes two types of resources. The first are fun and challenging real-world activities for all ages, the second are self-directed lessons for upper primary and secondary students. These lessons support independent learning in remote or school settings.
